Today I am going to introduce you a new shopping mall –isquare, which is located in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The Building
Isquare which is designed by Hong Kong architect Rocco Yim, with a total construction area of 600,000 square feet, including the shopping mall, cinema and three parts of high-block building. The ground floor to the 8 th floor is the main shopping area , including the flagship stores of international brands, primarily sale of watches, jewelry and cosmetics.The low- floor area which are selling fashion cloths, shoes and handbags. At the 7th floor, there have the IMAX cinema with five mini movie theaters, providing about 1,000 seats.

About the High Block property, which is a 20-storey hight building include restaurants, fitness center, yoga and SPA. Brsides, the 30 to 31 top floor penthouse is for the fine dining venues, is about 18,000 feet.

The wall of ISQUARE had used with more than 4,000 pieces of tempered glass and special glass components to be supported the way of the building.This construction had created a precedent of Hong Kong building industory. The shopping mall entrance at Beijing Road has a giant canopy which is composition by thousands of LED lamp；it play different types of animation everyday ; The LB floor also has a projection device wall. In addition, the venue has 43 escalators; five of the escalators is the cross-layer, which can go through each subject area. The escalators to the MTR escalators is total 37 meters long, both sides of the wall had projector to project 10 groups of picture such as plants and trees image, known as iNTER-GROW.

The IMAX Theatre

UA cinema opened UA Isquare on December 17, 2009 in Tsim Sha Tsui and launched the second IMAX in Hong Kong. UA Isquare IMAX theatre is the highest grossing IMAX theatre worldwide for ‘Avatar’ in IMAX 3D and history. The prestigious and exclusive state-of-the-art entertainment spectacle, UA Isquare, houses 5 theatres including Phoenix Club and the biggest IMAX theatre in Hong Kong.

Dining

In Isquare, there have different kind of dishes you can choose, if u like western dishes you can go to visit Carpaccio Pasta, Duke's Deli, Italian Tomato, Key West Café, Kraze Burger…etc. If you like japanese dishes, you can go to Gyu Jin Shabushabu, Ramen Santoula, Romankan Yokohama or Toi Hokkaido Rice Pizza.

New Town Plaza

WOW!!!This is my turn to introduce a place for you!!This time, i woulg like to introduce all of you to go Shatin. So, which shopping mall I am going to introduce?Yes, It is New Town Plaza!!

New Town Plaza is a shopping mall in a town centre of Shatin. There have three parts of New Town Plaza, phase 1 and phase 3 are connected by each other. Phase 2 is separate from phase 1 and phase 3. The name of phase 2 also is not the same, is called Home Square. Most of the shops in home Square are selling furniture. 

LocationNew Town Plaza is located in town center of Shatin. People can go ther by MTR, east rail line Shatin Station. People who live in mainland also come to New Town Plaza for shopping because it is convenient to them. Also, there have a big bus stop in New Town Plaza. it is very convenient to all of you.    

There have many kinds of shops in New Town Plaza, most of them are big brands. For fashion, it includes agnes b, armani exchange, burberry, I.T, D-mop and others. For beauty and healthcare, there has Lancome, SHISEIDO, SK-II. Also, there has the MENU at Level 7 and Level 1, there has many restaurants  you can choose.

There has a 50,000 square feet outdoor garden, a music fountain  at level 7, it provide a comfortable environment to all of you to take a rest, chat with friends.

Events
Every festival such as Christmas and Chinese new year, there will have some decoration in the mall. Also, they will hold some functions and events.

And this coming christmas, New Town Plaza will have a function, Snow Starlight Christmas!!

Also, there have some decoration at level 7!!!

Stanley Market

This time, I would like to introduce stanley market to all of you: )

Stanley Market is one of the place that tourists must need to go when they visit Hong Kong! But there are also many residents can go there once in a while, becuase when you have been there, you won't feel that you are in Hong Kong, base on there have many special things and the scenery is quite good. Accept for shopping you can have a deep breathe right here. And you will find an interesting array of little shops selling silk garments, sportswear, art, Chinese costume jewellery and souvenirs.  While a bit "touristy" if you are a tourist, it will certainly help you to cross off all the items on your souvenirs-to-buy-Aunt-Jane shopping list.  A hard morning of shopping is also nicely finished off by a good lunch at one of the many restaurants, which are the reason that Hong Kong locals also frequent the area.

It's probably best to go in the morning before things get too hot and crowded.  During summer, the weather is very hot and though the market street is covered that merely seems to trap in the heat somehow.

Hi everyone!On behalf of my groupmates , today, I am going to give you a brief idea about one of the shopping mall in Hong Kong. It is located in Tung Chung. Do you know which shopping mall i will go to talk about? It is Citygate outlets.

Citygate is the first and only outlets shopping mall in Hong Kong. It combined with three parts, shopping mall, commercials building and Hotel. The part of the shopping maore opened in 2000. And the hotel was named Novotel Hong kong Citygate. It operated in 2006. In the Citygate outlets, there are more than 80 international brands provide a year discount at least 30% to 70% on the fashion clothes, sportwears, beauty and others. There also have  restaurants and cinema that can provide an entertainment to all the customers. Also, Citygate is near the Ngong Ping 360 and the Hong Kong Disneyland. You can enjoy the day in Tung Chung!!!!=]

Location

Citygate outlets is in Tung Chung. It is ditrectly connect to MTR, Tung Chung Station and Lantau Island bus station. It is very convenient to the customers and the tourists. You can see on the map. Citygate Outlets is near to the Hong Kong International Airport. Tourists can come to Citygate in a short time if they took an airplane. They may live in the hotel which located in Citygate, Novotel Hong kong Citygate. So the tourists can enjoy their shopping in everytime and a convenient way!

Feature

There has five floors in Citygate outlets shopping mall. there has a shopping corridor linking the north and south parts of the shopping mall. Citygate is the first and only outlets shopping mall in Hong Kong. Also, there has a musical fountain outside the shopping mall. And the shopping mall will organize some activites to attract customers and tourists regularly.

Position

Citygate outlets has around 80 well-known international brands names. These include I.T outlets, Espsrit, quicksilver, adidas and others. Citygate is a place where visitors can buy the off-season products in a large discounts that customers cannot buy its in anywhere.

Citygate is a good places for people who want to enjoy dining and other leisure activities in one place!

MID-WEST: )

This time I would like to introduce Mid-West to you guys: ) Did you hear that before? Its chinese named  美華氏 which is a second hand store in within Rortress Hill and Tin Hau , the owner is Britisher!

Midwest Company was founded in the summer of 1993 under the name of Midwest Textile H.K. Ltd, as a sister company to the main office in the United States, Midwest Textile Company. Midwest Hong Kong was originally established as a Trading Company exporting used clothing to countries throughout Asia as well as Russia and Eastern Europe. The location of the current store is the same location as the trading showroom in 1993, albeit about 10 percent of thr size of the current store.

Due to the high demand from the local market for produce featured in their trading showroom, the retail store was established. Throught the 1990's, the interes in vintage fashion grew tremendously in Hong Kong as it has in the rest of the world.

All of the product are purchased from the United States and they endeavor to make sure that through sorting and careful inspection all our products are original. This is the policy and has been their inception in 1993.
This is all the history about Midwest.And here are the product.

 
Why i choose this store to introduce to you all becuase i like the second hand and classic fashion very much, in Hong Kong so many people only follow the trend to wear their style, it will be lost self fashion, but when i been to Midwest, i can find my own fashion here! Its amazing store, and you will find something you can not saw before in the general shopping place.

The address of Midwest is Midwest Co. shop 58, G/F Victoria Center, 15 Watson Road, Tin Hau, Hong Kong.Although the address in Tin Hau, but i think Fortress Hill MTR station will be more near and easy to get there. Fortrsess Hill Exit B and cross the road you will see McDonal's and than turn left go straight and turn right cross the road you can see that! : )


And its operation hour is 12.00noon to 9.00p.m Daily.

APM

In Hong Kong, do you know which shopping mall has the longest opening hour everyday?

Yea! That’s APM!





As the name implies, APM name is integrate with the ‘am’ (Day) and ‘pm’ (night). This shopping mall is to promote the concept of night entertainment. Thus, most of the shops are open until midnight. The concept of night entertainment is derived from the work of the workforce in recent years, more and more time, the pressure is also growing, however, the majority of Hong Kong's shopping malls is only open until ten p.m., so there is almost no place for leisure decompression for thise people. In the view of this, developers set the apm positioned as a specialty store mall business hours so that customers are no longer bound by time, can enjoy shopping and leisure.

The main target of APM are young people, with a total area of more than 60 million square feet. As Kowloon East has been always lack of a large shopping mall, so when apm start open in March 2005 ,it become one of the most popular consumer entertainment place for young people. There has also attracted residents from Hong Kong Island and New Territories East as well. At the lobby, there have a stage which always have performances,this is a major feature of the mall. Many New singer, songwriter and performing groups will be singing and performing here, Besides, apm has also become a popular location for those film companies and record company to held their autograph and premiere campaign.

APM total have 11th floors, shopping mall have spent 350 glass wall to create a transparent and non-night-day sense of momentum.
In architectural design, X-site representative of the X Generation Site and surprises (Excitement). The X-site design was inspired by lanterns, using the new building technology, manufacturing, suspended mid-air visual effects. Lighting are always transform from different floors to different floors, leading visitors into a ultra-modern sensory world; X-site is located on the 2nd floor to 6th floor, is the heart of innovation and building suspension.

2nd floor of the shopping mall has a outdoor recreational parks, named t:>> park. The theme park is divided into five regions, the use of the concept of stylish design, natural wood floor mixed with European style and wind. LED lights at night time to fabricate lots of geometric patterns and different levels of light, to create a special environment. In 2006 and 2007 Mid-Autumn Festival, t:>> park had set plenty of professional astronomical instruments, free of charge to the public explore the stars.

Which place you will visit every time when you are in Causeway Bay? For me, it must be Paterson Street!

Paterson Street is located in the northern part of Hong Kong Island, is one of the most popular street in Causeway Bay .Starting from the north of Victoria Park Road, KingstonStreet in passing, Great George Street, end at south Yee Wo Street.

In1990s, the southern section of Paterson Streetwas specificly for the bus lane, closed since 2001 to become pedestrian precinct.The middle section of Paterson Streetwas originally for two-way traffic, but in the recent years it already changed to a one-way traffic road and have additional taxi stands.

Shopping

Paterson street is now a popular shopping district for youngers who love fashion. As there had located a lots of brand name shop, such as Max & Co, Amani Exchange, Calvin Klein, Marc by marc jacobs, Agnes b, Y-3…etc.

Where do you buy the sporting goods in Hong Kong ? Fa Yuen Street must be your first choice.

 Fa Yuen Streetis  also known as "Sneaker Street". It gatherd more than forty shoe shops. You can find your needs there. The shops of Sneaker Street started since 1980s, because Hong Kong raise the sportwear upsurge and begun to develop. Now, it is a unique shopping area.

Fa Yuen Street are located in the centre of Mongkok, Kowloon. You can walk from MTR Station around  three minutes. It is convenient to the tourists to shop because the location of Sneaker is easy to go.         

 

All of the shops are located in the both sides of the street.  Most of them  sell sporting goods such as sneakers, sportwears, trendy sportwears and others. All of these sporting goods can be found in the street. Also, some brand such as Nike, Adidas, puma, Converse and others. They also have their own stores in the street. Second, some shops may sold different kinds of  brands's product  in the shop, you may go to check and compare with different shop to see which shop is the cheapest one. Then, you may save the money. However, although there are more than forty sporting goods shops, there are five operators to manage the shops.
